As technology continues to reshape the dynamic environments we operate in, innovation continuous to grow as a key ingredient needed to maintain competitiveness in the increasingly complex global marketplace. Globe has always recognized this, and maintains innovation as a cornerstone value to perpetually enrich our customers’ lives through the products and services we create and offer.

As one of its innovation initiatives, Globe will be having the 2008 Globe Innovation Convention on August 6 and 7, 2008 at the EDSA Shangri-La. The conference theme will be “Enriching Lives through Innovative Communications”, which encapsulates our interests on how innovations using the different evolving technologies can be of real value to existing and new customers by:

• Lowering the cost or improving the quality of Globe’s existing services
• Making services easier and more relevant to use
• Creating new services applicable to the Philippine consumer & business markets across mobile, broadband, and multimedia technologies

This event promises to be an extensive innovation convention including the full range of parties in the telecommunications innovation ecosystem: Globe Telecom, Technology Partners, ISVs / Developer Companies, the Academe, and Freelance Developers.

In line with this, we would like to invite you to participate in this innovation convention by attending the Globe Labs Launch on August 7.

The Globe Labs Launch covers the following:

1. Launch Globe Labs to the developer community by introducing its program and initiatives
2. Launch two (2) Globe enablers (APIs) that can be used by Globe Labs registered developers to build applications
3. Kick-off the Globe Labs Challenge, a competition to develop applications relevant to the Telco industry
4. Forum Nokia, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems will talk about their latest development tools

You can register for the Globe Labs Launch starting on the 21st of July. To register, please follow these steps:

a. Go to the Globe Labs portal (www.globelabs.com.ph) then register with Globe Labs as an individual and then log-in
b. Click on the Globe Innovation Convention banner which will bring you to the event page
c. Click on the Register button
d. Type in this event registration code P0G23, then confirm by clicking the submit button
e. A printable confirmation page will appear and a copy will be sent to your email
f. Please bring a copy of the confirmation page to the event and present it to the registration committee
